Wheathampstead Lights Up
Christmas Lights Up Wheathampstead
It’s that time of year to welcome in the festive season with Wheathampstead’s Christmas Lights Up evening on Thursday 30th November, between 5:45 and 8:00 pm in the High Street. A very popular event, lighting up the lovely village of Wheathampstead, with traditional celebrations for all to enjoy.
A fabulous family night, with rides and stalls, games and food, mulled wine and mince pies, singing and dancing. Santa will come through on his sleigh at 6:00 pm on his way to MacIntyre House beside Charlie’s Cafe. There he will give out the prizes for the children’s poster competition and of course then it will be time for the children to get to meet Santa in his Grotto.
Most of the High Street businesses will open and there will be lots of free goodies on offer. The village business group WEB will be showing off all our other 200 local businesses and services in the empty shop by the pedestrian crossing, so come and see just how much you can Buy Locally!
Please note the High Street will be closed during that time between Granary Close and East lane. These will both be open for access, including to the Bull and our free car park. King Edward Place, next to the bakers, will not be closed.
We look forward to seeing you there – if you would like to share any photos of the event afterwards to go on our Website and Social Media pages, please forward to firstname.lastname@example.org.
